| I've been looking at language.txt and found something I don't understand. There is 'playmusicX$' and 'playsampleX$'. What are the differences and what is each used for?
Thanks Sandy |

| Hi Sandy, Sound and music filetypes supported are : .mp3, .ogg, .wav, .aiff, .mod If you check out "cloak_of_darkness.tab" and look in code there is example of playmusicX$ and playsampleX$ These files played are present in the "sound" directory. "playmusicX$" is for playing background music in your game which is best in .mp3 or .mod tunes. "playsampleX$" is for sound effects, short sound clips, noises and effects that you can use after player actions in a game... For example check out some free here you can download: http://www.wavplanet.com/wavs.php?cat=5You might also like to know that TAB supports the following type of graphic files (in graphic game mode) Graphics supported: .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .png Best wishes, catventure. |
