| Been trying TAB and quite impressed with program. Small snag when running on XP. When closing I get the MS popup "Windows has to close this program" or something similar, works ok on Vista though. Anybody had same problem? Like layout as it is reminiscent of 80's GAC. |

Regarding the error can you please tell me the EXACT steps you took that produced the error dialog message? I know Frank reported a similar message occurring on XP also; when he bought a new computer he reported the problem was resolved. Does it occur when you try and close the TAB Editor or the TAB Player? Thanks, catventure (Phil) |

| Hello catventure, off work today with a sprained arm so using mouse movements as a bit of therapy. Yes it works superfine on Vista but the error I mentioned happens on XP when closing the editor after testing a demo game. I'll get back to it and see if I can tie it down to something more specific. Regards caveman |

| Okay I'm back again. I've found that the dreaded MS popup occurs when closing the editor whether a game has been loaded or not, or even whether the game has been tested or not. Strange that this happens on XP and not Vista as Vista is renowned as being the most problematic OS.
Hope this helps some
Regards Mike

| Just found a fix. I set program compatibility to Win 98/Win ME and no more MS popups.

Hi Mike, Thanks for your reports about the MS error on closing TAB Editor Window under XP. Gotta feeling it may be a windows 'handle' ID issue. I'll do some checking. Great to hear you've found a temporary workaround. Phil. |
