Ok ive finished a game ive been working on. Im sending it to a friend and he is going to test it for any bugs etc.

My question is this:

Ive renamed my datafile to autorun.tab and ive got the player.exe file and renamed it to Stants Short Adventure Game.

When i double click ont this exe file it loads the game automatically which is great.

However if i double click autorun.tab it always opens the editor. If im sending to my friend and he has the tab editor he will see all my work. How do i stop this from happening.

So my directory is this

Stants Short Adventure Game
graphics
sounds
icons
autorun.tab
Stants Short Adventure Game.exe

is this all correct??

Great to hear you've made some progress already!

You can password protect your game to stop the data being viewed in the TAB Editor by loading your finished game database into the TAB Editor and then from the GAME SETTINGS EDITOR click the "Set Password" button.

IMPORTANT: Ensure you type correct password and please keep a note of it! Otherwise you may be locked out of accessing your data in the Editor...

Type in your password which can be alphabetical, numerical or alphanumerical then click ACCEPT button. Then exit to TAB Main Menu and resave your database.

Only those with the password may now look at your data in the Editor.

Your finished game directory seems OK.

You *could* add your own "splash.bmp" file of your choosing (intro pic screen) to the main directory instead of the TAB one.
Must only be a .bmp image size about 480 x 320 pixels.

You could also add a "readme.txt" file with any playing instructions, things to test, background + credits etc...
