| Ive been reading the manual today and ive found 2 lines of code that may interest me.
[start]flag20=1#answer<>grunch[acts]cmessGoblin: "That`s not the password!"#flag20=0[end]
[start]flag20=1#answer=grunch[acts]cmessGoblin: "Correct! The gold ring lies in a wooden tree trunk."#flag20=2[end]
Ive searched for the command grunch in the language file, readme and manual but i cannot find it.
What exactly is this command grunch or am I missing something.
Thanks

| Hi stants,
There is no command "grunch"
These were entries made for asking player for input and then checking the validity of the reply
ask - is an action that waits for the player to type in a reply eg: to a question that maybe asked by another character in the game.
The "answer=" and "answer<>" conditions can then check if the player typed in a correct or incorrect response and then carry out any suitable actions that may be necessary.
Erm, I think there's an example of usage of this in "character_demo.tab" where you can >ask <character> about box and the character asks a riddle and waits for an answer to be typed... Check out the response code in that.
