Hi Phil,

Thanks for sorting out the sizex condition.

Just on the subject of size actions ... is there a way that sizex and objn1size actions could be added It would be nice to be able to change the size of an object on the fly, so to speak (e.g. objn1size=4, where previously the size of objn1 was 5).

Hi Mark,

Yes I'm pleased to say that I can add that extra functionality without losing compatibility with previous databases.

sizeX=Y
objn1size=X
objn2size=X

I can also make a %sizeX% text format variable for testing/checking purposes.

To implement this the current object sizes must now be saved as part of game position files - so there will be the unavoidable side effect that game position files created with versions PRIOR to the next release will not and should not be loaded into next version as they will screw up the data and corrupt the game...!
It just means that any saved games you have from any TAB games cannot be used in the newer TAB

However that is not so bad maybe and I think it worth the sacrifice...?

If you're happy with that let me know and I'll update to new release.

That's brilliant ... you're a star Very Happy

And I was going to ask for %sizex% as i do love all my debugging in script 2 ... but thought I'd be pushing it a bit given I'm new around these parts!

I agree with you about the save games ... a small price for some awesome new functionality in my humble opinion.

After I've got hold of the new version I'll update you with what I'm trying to get working and you can have a laugh and tell me it's already been covered by someone years ago and I've been wasting my time for the last few weeks Very Happy

Thanks in advance for the new release and I hope it isn't too much of a headache!
