Ok so im in response and im typing in code. I forget what object i need to refer too. I go back to objects and say ahhh ok object 25 is the one i want.
I then go back to response and the response editor resets back to the top so i have to then scroll through the response to find my bit of code i was working on.

I think it would be better if when you went bcak into response it stays at the same line you were editing.

A lot of time is spent looking through response trying to find that line of code you were editing.

Just a suggestion to spped things up.

Cheers

Stants

Thanx for your idea. I will look into it and see if can be done....

In the meantime, one thing you can do is from the GAME SETTINGS EDITOR choose the "Viewer" and open the OBJECTS list into that.... You can minimize the viewer window to the taskbar if required and just bring it up when necessary to refer to when you're constructing Response entries.
Hope this helps!

Regards,
Phil.

Hi stants,

I figured out how to do this now in the Editor, and it will be present in the next release.
It will be implemented for Response, Script 1, Script 2, and Char Command
Responses.
After exiting Responses with the "back" button the line scroll position (first visible line in the editbox) is now remembered by TAB so that when you re-enter this Editor it will restore the text to the same point each time... until you end your session.

This will continue to work after testing a game and returning to the Editor; but of course if a new or same datafile is Loaded/Opened into TAB from the Editor or Player then these restoration settings will be lost and will be initially reset to zero again.

Thanks for your idea - and I agree - should make the coding side of things easier. Smile

Phil.

Thats brilliant Phil.

That will help with my coding a lot.

Thankyou.

Im going to start writing a manual next week when i got some time.

I will include everything in the forums and lots of examples to help people with their coding.

Ill start writing the manual next week and when its finished ill send it to you phil.

Maybe you can look it over and see if its ok.

Thanks for the help.

Kind Regards

Stants.
